PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A cat died in a hearth at a home on Ayrault Street in Providence on Sunday.
Chief Derek Silva mentioned that the division responded to the hearth round 1 p.m..
The fireplace prolonged to the vinyl siding of a neighboring home, which introduced a response of 47 firefighters.
No accidents to folks have been reported. One cat died within the fireplace whereas 5 others have been rescued.
Silva mentioned that two occupants of the home are being helped by the Red Cross and the reason for the hearth continues to be being investigated.
