Cat dies after canine attack in Manitowoc, public requested to assist determine dogs’ house owners

MANITOWOC (WLUK) — After two dogs have been concerned in an attack Tuesday that resulted within the demise of a pet cat, the City of Manitowoc Police Department is requesting help from the general public to determine the dogs’ proprietor(s).
The incident occurred at 5:30 p.m. when a person noticed one of many dogs attacking his relative’s cat within the yard of a Manitowoc home within the 1200 block of S. seventeenth Street.
When the person picked up the cat, which seemed to have sustained quite a few chew wounds, the canine that attacked the cat then tried to attack the person.
Officials say the sufferer was in a position to defend himself and escape unhurt. However, the cat needed to be euthanized because of the accidents it suffered within the attack.
The two dogs have been final seen operating westbound within the 1700 block of Hamilton Street. Their vaccination statuses and who they belong to are unknown at the moment.
