Cat decapitation rattles nerves in Northwest Crossing location; ACS representative presumes coyote attack

In the last month, 2 social networks posts highlighted cat deaths in the Northwest Crossing location. The initially began May 1, as NextDoor user and San Antonian Kimberly Summers cautioned next-door neighbors that her cat, Socks, was discovered beheaded and with her front legs cut off. On Sunday, fellow San Antonian and Northwest Crossing homeowner Amy Thorne included that another cat’s body was discovered.

Both users said they submitted a cops report after discovering the bodies.

The posts integrated for almost 500 responses on the social networks platform and more than 400 remarks.

“I reported it to the cops however I fear that individuals who damage animals will ultimately damage individuals,” Summers composed in her post. “Please keep your fur infants inside and safe.”

Summers informed the Express-News that following the experience, she didn’t sleep for days.

“I want this was on the news,” Summers composed in a social networks message. “I am experiencing stress and anxiety and worried about my safety and my next-door neighbors.”

San Antonio Animal Care Services reports having no record of such events, however when the event was explained to air conditioning authorities, they said it seems like a coyote attack.

“Our animals, consisting of cats, are constantly most safe inside with us,” Lisa Norwood, public relations supervisor for ACS, composed in an email. “Outdoor cats are at higher threat of getting illness from unvaccinated animals, struck by cars and trucks or assaulted by other animals consisting of dogs or coyotes.”

Norwood likewise kept in mind that animals facing wild animals is less most likely if they are inside your home, as San Antonio is surrounded by metropolitan wildlife.
