A cat’s life span varies anywhere from 12-14 years, nevertheless, Caley the cat is definitely an exception.
Caley, owned by Sandra Nairne, of Temple Crescent, Inverness, commemorated her 23rd birthday a couple of days earlier.
Sandra got Caley from a little croft near Elgin in late summer season 2000 when Caley was simply 8 weeks old, and was the greatest cat remaining at the croft.

Caley is now entirely deaf and Sandra does not permit Caley to go outdoors without supervision as she would not have the ability to hear risks such as traffic.
“She is well spoiled, and takes pleasure in getting brushed, however does not delight in having her nails clipped,” Sandra said.
“Her preferred food is cat soup which she consumes most days.”
Caley’s preferred location to sit is at the back of the living-room sofa, where she observes the outdoors from the window where she ultimately slumbers.
She is still in good health at the age of 23 – which is the equivalent of 108 in human years – and is delighting in cat retirement.
