In an Instagram update posted on March 28, the South San Francisco Police Department (SSFPD) confirmed that the animal initially seen on a doorbell digicam positioned on the 200 block of Mansfield Drive on March 26 was really a big cat — as in a big home cat, and never a mountain lion as first suspected.
