A BB pellet was left “embedded” in a cat’s head after she was shot within the Highlands, her proprietor has mentioned.
Police are investigating the incident that took place within the Moffat Square space of Scourie, within the north west of Sutherland, at someday between Thursday, February 8, and Monday, February 12.
Owner Lynzi Montgomery informed STV News a vet confirmed her ten yr old cat Sasha had been shot within the head by a BB gun.
A pellet from the weapon “embedded” in Sasha’s head and prompted her to develop a “horrific infection”, Ms Montgomery mentioned.
“I just wanted to let the cat owners in the area know that someone has shot my cat in the head with a BB gun,” she mentioned.
“This has been confirmed by the vet this afternoon.
“This has occurred in some unspecified time in the future inside the previous two weeks, she now has a horrific an infection because it has been embedded in her head.
“If anyone knows of or hears of anything can you please let me know? It has been reported.”
