Perumbavoor: In an uncommon flip of occasions, an individual arrested for possessing hashish, revealed that he had stolen a pet cat throughout interrogation. Sunil (42) was arrested by the Perumbavoor police from Allapra at daybreak on Monday and 20 grams of hashish was seized from his home.
Later, upon inspection of the home, a Persian cat was present in a cage. When enquired, Sunil confessed that he had stolen the cat from a home in Manakkapady.
The cat, together with its cage was stolen from Thambi’s residence in Manakkapady on Sunday evening. The proprietor stated that he bought the cat a 12 months in the past for Rs 7000.
The cat was taken to the police station and handed over to the proprietor. Sunil has a historical past of being accused in instances like sale of hashish and even tried homicide.
