Then all through the previous couple of weeks, there have been stories of cat assaults all through the town that resulted in extreme harm or dying, stated police. Another cat was discovered useless on Mary Drive.

Alison Silva, who’s a cat proprietor herself and lives on Mary Drive, finds this information very terrifying.

“Really regarding listening to that different individuals have misplaced their cats, sadly,” stated Silva.

Hollister Police Animal Care Supervisor Alyssa Bautista tells KION the Pitbulls killed two cats—and injured two extra.

On August 28, the proprietor of the dogs and the animals had been positioned, stated police. All three dogs are presently within the care of Hollister Animal Shelter.

“When we made contact with the proprietor, she did give up the animals for humane euthanasia,” stated Bautista. “These animals and their aggression in the direction of different animals, they won’t be a candidate for adoption.”

The Hollister Animal Shelter desires to remind the general public that Hollister Municipal Code 6.13.020 states partly, “Dangerous animal means any of the following: Any animal which, when unprovoked, inflicts injury on or kills a human being, or domestic animal.”
