Minneapolis Animal Care and Control (MACC), the city-run animal shelter in Minneapolis, has waived and lowered pet adoption charges because it seeks to create space within the shelter, which is at most capability.
This month, MACC introduced Minneapolis residents pays $0 in adoption charges when adopting a canine over six months of age or a cat. For non-residents, canine adoption charges have been lowered from $250 to $100 and cat adoption charges have been lowered from $100 to $25.
The charge to undertake a puppy lower than six months old is $250 for each residents and non-residents. Small animal adoption charges are $10 no matter residence.
