A Cat Called Dom particulars Scottish filmmaker Will Anderson’s relationship together with his mom and their journey following the prognosis of her most cancers. Whilst alone, Will privately retains council with an animated cat referred to as Dom – a curious character residing within his pc display screen who interjects with observations, questions and actions that shed a light-weight on Will’s emotions to a darkly humorous and infrequently poignant impact.
Created with co-director and collaborator, Ainslie Henderson, the movie paperwork the manifold feelings Will experiences, as he juggles the pressures of filmmaking and private trauma while coming to phrases with a possible, earthshattering loss.
But when feelings, occasions and types collide, tensions rise between the 2 filmmakers and the movie itself transforms into one thing far faraway from what was initially supposed. Will it ever daybreak on Will that the center of his movie is present in his love for his mom and that loss too could be a likelihood for connection?
