A 77-year-old Sebring man has been arrested for feeding stray cats within the village.

According to the police report, Walter Comanitz was arrested on Thursday and charged with a nuisance violation of Sebring’s Codified Ordinance.

Two business homeowners had filed written statements towards Comanitz and his feeding of the cats on their property.

According to the written complaints, the village man allegedly walks round leaving foam bowls and cat meals across the space, together with behind the businesses. The business homeowners stated that the cats had been inflicting a nuisance by urinating and defecating on the business property and mendacity on their autos.

The arresting officer noticed Comanitz on the intersection of Ohio Avenue and N. sixteenth Street within the village round 2:45 pm Thursday and was discovered to have empty tuna cans, cups of dry cat meals, and foam bowls.

According to the report, the cat-feeding suspect turned agitated with the arresting officer, stating he was an legal professional and he was going to get ‘wealthy’ out of the state of affairs.

Comanitz was handcuffed and brought into custody. He was launched on his personal recognizance and appeared in Sebring Court Friday morning.

This just isn’t the primary time Comanitz has been arrested for feeding cats. In February, he was arrested on a littering cost for leaving plates and bowls that he fed the cats on and was ordered to pay a $20 courtroom wonderful and $71 courtroom prices.

Comanitz has a listening to scheduled to look in Sebring Court on October 26 at 9 a.m.
