72 cats took from hoarding “cat sanctuary” in Berkeley County (Berkeley County Government){ }

Animal Control took 72 cats from a home near Harriston Road in St. Stephen on February 9.

The cats were living inside a rundown trailer, and an outdoors location that authorities state were weakening conditions.


49 cats lived however in poor health. An extra 23 cats were discovered departed inside structures at the website.
The staying carts were required to Berkeley Animal Center, where 10 cats were required to be euthanized due to their sickly condition. The staying 39 remain in steady condition in the care of the Animal Center staff.

Charleston Animal SOcierty likewise supplied a vet to assist with the care.
