CRAVEN COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) – A Craven County lady is going through animal cruelty fees after deputies say they discovered 31 cats and two dogs inside her home with out water or correct shelter.
Back on December twenty first, Craven County Animal Protective Services went to a home on Maul Swamp Road outdoors of Vanceboro for an animal criticism.
Inside the home of Susan Riggs, officers discovered filthy situations and say Riggs was not even residing within the home.
Two dogs and three kittens have been seized and acquired fast medical consideration. Animal Protective officers say one of many kittens needed to be put down.
The remaining cats have been surrendered, in line with a information launch, and brought to the Craven-Pamlico Animal Services Center.
Riggs was charged with animal cruelty and failure to vaccinate. The lady has a January twenty third courtroom date.
