AURORA, IL — Two ladies suffered smoke inhalation after a fireplace broke out Jan. 31 within the 100 block of Woodlawn Avenue, officers stated Tuesday.

The two residents, ages 27 and 28, of 1 condo had been handled by paramedics and brought to an area hospital in good situation, in line with the Aurora Fire Department.

Crews responded to the construction hearth at 11:32 p.m. after they discovered a two-story home divided into two flats on hearth, with flames and smoke exhibiting from the attic.
