The Committee Against Torture (CAT) is the body of 10 independent specialists that keeps track of execution of the Convention versus Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment by its States celebrations.
The Committee Against Torture works to hold States liable for human rights offenses, methodically examining reports of abuse in order to stop and avoid this criminal offense.
