Thames Valley Police had been left “confused” by a chook who had learnt to imitate the sound of the sirens from their squad automobiles.
Officers at a police station in Bicester, Oxfordshire, mentioned they initially believed their autos had developed a fault upon listening to the birdsong.
A video filmed on the web site reveals a chook chirping in a tree earlier than replicating the sound of a two-tone siren.
Users on social media speculated that the chook is a starling, that are identified for copying man-made noises.
“It’s so correct, officers have been left considering the sirens had been defective on the automobiles!”, the power wrote on X.
“From our workshops that take a look at out the 2 tone-tune to officers deploying to jobs, this little fella has been sat patiently observing the noise to recreate it.”
