In a collaborative effort, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Israel’s Ministry of Energy (MoE), and the Israel Innovation Authority have greenlit 9 clear vitality initiatives with a mixed worth of $27 million. The initiatives, falling underneath the Binational Industrial Research and Development (BIRD) Energy program, will obtain $9.75 million in cost-share funding. BIRD Energy, initiated in 2009, goals to spice up collaborative analysis and growth between the U.S. and Israel in sustainable vitality applied sciences. Over 60 initiatives have been funded to this point, with a complete authorities funding of about $50 million, leveraging roughly $927 million in private-sector funding.
