Russell Dean “Rusty” Bird, 57, of Clayton, KS handed away September 15, 2023 on the Norton County Hospital. He was born in Norton on May 27, 1966 to James and Delores (Richardson) Bird.
Rusty grew up in Clayton, KS and was a 1984 graduate of Jennings High School. He went on to school at Dodge City, KS graduating with an affiliate diploma, majoring in math to sooner or later grow to be a math instructor. He began school at Fort Hays University, and he determined to maneuver again after the passing of his mother to be round to assist his dad on the Bird service station.
At a young age he started working for native farmers. After transferring home, he started working at Kirk hog farm. Rusty began working for Garvey Elevator, now referred to as the Decatur Co-op Association, Jennings Elevator and had moved as much as department supervisor, working there till his well being would not enable.
On May nineteenth, 1995, after relationship a number of years he married a lady he had been smitten with Angela Hull. To this union have been born twin boys Gabriel and Zachary Bird. He was so proud and honored to be their dad.
He was an avid sports activities fan however particularly liked watching KU basketball and Chiefs soccer.
More than something he liked spending time along with his household and buddies telling tales of the previous. He loved searching most of all and the tales that got here with it. Singing karaoke along with his buddies and going to dart tournaments and the dart league in Jennings, KS have been extra of his favourite pastimes.
Rusty is survived by his spouse, Angela; sons, Gabriel and Zachary all the home; brothers, Richard Bird of Hays, Jim (Teresa) Bird of Leoville, KS; parents-in-law, Diane and Ted Hull of Norton, KS; sisters-in-law, Kim (EJay) Brand of Brighton, IL, and Jennifer (Chris) Shanklin of Manhattan, KS; nephews, Benjamin (Tana) Bird of Danbury, NE, Andrew (Kristi) Bird of Colby, KS, Toliver Bird of Wichita, KS, and Shannon Bird of Hoxie, KS; with many extra prolonged relations and buddies.
Preceding him in dying have been his dad and mom, James and Delores Bird; grandparents; and lots of uncles and aunts.
Funeral companies will probably be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 21, 2023 on the Norton Christian Church. Burial will probably be held at 1:30 p.m. on the Clayton Cemetery. Visitation will probably be from 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 20 on the funeral home.
