A CHEEKY swan proved it wasn’t afraid of just a little fowl play because it tried to cross a busy street.
Police community support officer Lee Compton was swanning round Stanway when Essex Police’s Colchester group policing group was known as to experiences of a swan making an attempt to cross the street on Wednesday.
Lee leaped into motion to rescue the majestic chook, which was making an attempt to show it wasn’t “afowl” of site visitors legal guidelines.
Officers noticed the humorous facet, asking the PCSO “why did the swan cross the road?”.
