Police officers have been left “confused” by a hen when it convincingly mimicked the sound of the sirens on their vehicles.
Thames Valley Police stated workers initially thought their automobiles had developed a fault after listening to the noise at a roads policing base in Bicester.
A video filmed on the website in Oxfordshire and posted on social media reveals the hen chirping in a tree – earlier than then replicating the sound of a two-tone siren.
The drive stated that the copycat name was “100% actual and never a late April Fools joke” and added that officers have been left “slightly confused”.
It added: “It’s so correct, they have been left considering the sirens have been defective on the vehicles!
“From our workshops that take a look at out the 2 tone-tune to officers deploying to jobs, this little fella has been sat patiently observing the noise to recreate it”.
Social media customers urged that the hen could possibly be a starling, that are identified for his or her means to imitate man-made noises.
