Medina Raptor Center Hosts Second Annual Baby Bird Shower to Increase Funds, Consciousness for Bird Conservation Efforts

Event will embrace family-friendly actions and over a dozen Educational Ambassador Birds, together with turkey vultures, hawks, owls and falcons

SPENCER, Ohio, April 10, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–For over 30 years, the Medina Raptor Center has been a regional chief in rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing sick or injured raptors and native songbirds all through Ohio and surrounding states. Everything from majestic bald eagles to delicate ruby-throated hummingbirds have obtained the care and a spotlight of the Center and its many volunteers and supporters. It is without doubt one of the few rehabilitation facilities that may absorb bald eagles.

On Saturday, May 4, from midday to five:00 p.m., the Medina Raptor Center will host its Second Annual Baby Bird Shower on the Chatham Memorial Hall, positioned at 6299 Avon Lake Road, in Spencer, Ohio. This is Medina Raptor Center’s largest fundraiser of the 12 months, created to convey consciousness to the perils of child chook season and lift funds to assist the infant birds. During this season, birds are extra energetic, and the Center experiences an unusually excessive consumption of infants who’ve fallen from nests, injured studying to fly, deserted or separated from their nest.

The Baby Bird Shower is free and open to the general public. Last 12 months, over 400 individuals attended; a dozen of the Center’s Educational Ambassador birds (rehabilitated birds that may’t be launched) made an look, together with turkey vultures, hawks, owls and falcons. There shall be family-friendly actions, an opportunity to fulfill the Educational Ambassadors, a raffle with 100 plus donated objects, a bake sale, refreshments, instructional alternatives, and extra!

All proceeds return to the Medina Raptor Center to assist the birds and empower the organization’s mission to rescue, rehabilitate and launch displaced, injured, sick or orphaned birds.
