Lewiston hen membership to host winter wildlife monitoring discuss Feb. 5

Winter monitoring would be the focus of the Stanton Bird Club’s subsequent assembly, scheduled for Monday, Feb. 5, on the Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St.

The discuss shall be held from 4-6 p.m.

Ben Nugent, district supervisor for U.S. Department of Agriculture Wildlife Services in Maine, would be the visitor speaker.

Nugent grew up in Vermont and graduated from the University of Vermont. Prior to working with the USDA Wildlife Services, he labored for Hodges Outfitters in Alaska, Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and the Institute for Wildlife Studies in California. He will share photos and examples from the wildlife within the native space. In addition, he’ll share a uncommon and particular winter wildlife expertise he had in Thorncrag in 2011, in line with a information launch from Jeri Maurer with the membership.
