The Stanton Bird Club is set to host the last in its 2022-23 lecture series from 4-6 p.m. Monday, May 1, at Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St.
Pollination and behavioral ecologist Carla Essenberg of Lewiston will speak.
Essenberg will provide a summary of the work she has actually been making with Bates College trainees and bird club volunteers to present native, pollinator-friendly plants to the Centennial Meadow at Thorncrag. This intends to help threatened butterflies, vanishing songbirds and other vital pollinators, according to a press release from Jeri Maurer, bird club board president.
For 7 years Essenberg, who has actually her doctorate, has been an assistant teacher of biology at Bates along with a board member of the Stanton Bird Club.
