On Thursday, the Jonas Brothers member, 34, took the stage at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as part of the band’s Five Albums. One Night. The World Tour. The complaint also alleged that Jonas is preventing their daughters from being reunited with Turner by withholding their passports. “On September 19, 2023, the Father’s Florida attorney confirmed that the Father will not return the passports to the Mother and will not consent for the children to return home to England,” the documents claim.

“Based on the Father’s express statements that he will not return the children to England and will not return the children’s passports to the Mother, on September 20, 2023, the Mother has submitted her Hague Convention Application for Return to the Central Authority for England & Wales seeking the return of the children to England.”

Jonas responded to Turner’s claims, saying she was being “misleading.” A rep for the musician mentioned in a press release to PEOPLE that “Joe initiated divorce proceedings in Florida, as Florida is the appropriate jurisdiction for the case.”

The statement further stated that both Jonas and Turner recently “had a cordial meeting this past Sunday in New York, when Sophie came to New York to be with the kids.” Jonas was below the impression that “they had reached an understanding that they would work together towards an amicable co-parenting setup.”

Earlier this month, Jonas filed for divorce from Turner after four years of marriage. In documents obtained by PEOPLE, the filing claimed that “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.”

Amid the ongoing custody and divorce battle, while Jonas was performing, Turner was spotted grabbing dinner with a friend at Hotel Barrière Fouquet’s New York on Thursday and has resumed work on her upcoming ITVX series Joan.

On Tuesday, Turner was pictured with Jonas’ ex Taylor Swift while enjoying a night out on the town. The pair, who were arm and arm, dined together at Via Carota before they visited Temple Bar on Lafayette Street after dining at a restaurant.
