A six-part Indigenous-led collection, known as “Little Bird,” will premiere on PBS Oct. 12.
The collection follows Bezhig Little Bird (Darla Contois, who’s Cree-Saulteaux) as she tries to search out her delivery household and study her true household historical past. Taken from her home within the Long Pine Reserve in Saskatchewan, Little Bird was adopted to a Canadian Jewish household at age 5 and have become Esther Rosenblum.
