GARDEN CITY, Kan. (KWCH) – The Garden City Cops Department (GCPD) on Tuesday. released an immediate message worrying cases of bird influenza, or “bird influenza.”
On the GCPD’s Facebook page, Garden City authorities stated the department got alert from the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks (KDWP) of several cases of bird influenza flowing in Finney County and surrounding counties.
Cops encourage anybody in the location who may see a dead bird where the cause of death is uncertain not to touch or move the animal. With the bird influenza being infectious, authorities stated in such scenarios, you ought to call the GCPD from which animal control officers can help.
Anybody with an outright requirement to touch or get rid of a dead bird must double up sets of gloves, use a mask, double bag the bird prior to positioning it in the trash and sterilize when done, the KDWP advises.
