The distressed bird had actually triggered issue amongst citizens in the location. On the Facebook group, Donnington Residents, Rickie Griffiths published a photo of the swift and said: “This bird is stuck on Ash-Lea Drive flats.
“It’s flapping its wings and so on, stuck on some string or something. Anyone able to come and help it.”
The bird was released by firemens from Wellington Station who participated in the flats in Ash-Lea Drive Donnington at around 9.50am.
The swift was turned over to Severn Edge Vets in Donnington after it was launched at around 10am when the fire teams utilized little equipment to cut through the netting.
