FIREFIGHTERS responded to an emergency call about a bird stuck in a chimney – but when they arrived the animal had disappeared without a trace.
A crew from Malverm Fire Station attended an address in the Worcester Road, Malvern last night to free the trapped bird. A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said they were called at 8.30pm to rescue the small animal.
He added: “A bird was reported to be stuck in a chimney so small tools, a saw and an impact driver were used to cut a hole to carry out investigations. No bird was found and the crew made good the boarding. The incident was marked as closed at 9.45pm.”
