“Earlier Than the Bird” Brings Out Holiday Spirit and Shoppers

Ocean City positively was the place to be Saturday morning. And all one needed to do was roll away from bed, of their greatest and most festive pajamas, after all, to buy downtown for the zany “Earlier than the Bird” mega-shopping occasion.

From 8 a.m. till midday, consumers took benefit of offers at shops from Sixth Street to 14th Street alongside Asbury Avenue. Holiday decorations, corresponding to garland-wrapped lamp posts and wreaths with vivid crimson bows that held on swags, added to the jubilant ambiance.

Jeanne Kahn, of Malvern, Pa., and her 24-year-old daughter, Natalie, launched her sister-in-law, Mary Karwoski, of Bala Cynwyd, Pa., and her daughter, 20-year-old Olivia, to the enjoyable procuring occasion.

“We’re doing lots of shopping,” McKeon stated, including that she picked up some items for household.

Fahey purchased lots, though she admitted she handled herself. But it was all with the vacation spirit in thoughts, she stated with amusing.

She purchased decorations, books and some issues for her household.

“I bought a bracelet for my granddaughter,” she stated.

While Asbury Avenue bustled with consumers, a line fashioned in City Hall of holiday makers ready to buy discounted seasonal seashore tags, which went on sale Saturday.
