Two merchandise from Michigan are beans and wine, they usually pair properly collectively.

9&10’s Meredith St. Henry visited Dune Hen Vineyard in Northport and paired their wine with bean-inspired dishes with the Michigan Bean Fee.

The three dishes and pairings have been: baked buffalo bean dip with Dune Hen Dry Riesling; white bean, kale and roasted butternut squash mac & cheese with Dune Hen Pie Chaser; and Michigan black bean brownies paired with Dune Hen Pure Leland Glowing and a grimy pumpkin chai.

Baked Buffalo Bean Dip

Makes 10 servings

INGREDIENTS:

2 (15-ounce) cans Michigan White Beans, drained and rinsed (or 3 cups cooked dry beans)

4 ounces mild cream cheese

1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt

2/3 cup buffalo sauce

3/4 cup shredded pepperjack cheese

3/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

2 inexperienced onions, sliced

1/4 cup chopped cilantro

1-3/4 cup 2% milk

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon pink salt

1/4 teaspoon floor black pepper

1/4 teaspoon purple pepper flakes

4 ounces shredded gouda cheese

8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

2-1/2 cups roasted diced butternut squash

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Prepare dinner pasta as directed on package deal. Add chopped kale to pasta within the final minute of cooking. Drain. In the meantime mix white beans, milk, onion powder, garlic powder, Dijon mustard, salt, pepper, and purple pepper flakes in a blender. Mix till easy.

1 teaspoon coconut oil

1 Tablespoon almond milk

1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon espresso powder

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup darkish chocolate chips, divided

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease a nonstick 9 x 9-inch sq. baking pan with baking spray and line with parchment paper.
  3. Mix the black beans, eggs, cocoa powder, maple syrup, oil, almond milk, balsamic, baking soda, baking powder, espresso, and vanilla within the blender till easy and pour right into a bowl.
  4. Fold in 3/4 cup chocolate chips till mixed.
  5. Pour the brownie batter into the ready pan.  Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips evenly excessive of the brownies.
