Deposits of oil and a few lifeless seabirds have been washed up on the coast in east Kent, a council has stated.
Dover District Council stated an pressing clean-up was being organised between Kingsdown and Sandwich Bay, together with the Stour estuary.
It suggested residents to maintain dogs on leads within the affected space and to maintain youngsters away from the oil and any lifeless marine animals.
HM Coastguard stated the primary report was made at about 13:50 GMT on Friday.
It stated it was responding with associate companies and native authorities.
A spokesperson stated: “The space has been surveyed by HM Coastguard fixed-wing plane in addition to coastguard rescue groups from Deal, Langdon Battery and Margate.”
Dover District Council is asking individuals who might even see extra substantial deposits of oil or bigger lifeless animals, resembling seals, to contact them.
The Environment Agency has been approached for a remark.
