“Funny Birds,” an heartwarming comedy-drama starring Andrea Riseborough, Catherine Deneuve and Morgan Saylor, has bought in key territories within the run as much as the AFM.

“Funny Birds” follows Charlie (Saylor) who returns from boarding college to the New Jersey countryside to maintain her estranged mom Laura (Riseborough) who runs a small rooster farm. Their tense day-to-day life on the farm is turned the wrong way up when Laura’s mom Solange (Deneuve), an eccentric French feminist, reveals up unannounced. When a chicken flu epidemic begins threatening the farm, they’re pressured to rise above battle and heal old wounds.
