This was the scene the other day as the great weather condition brought numerous numerous climbers to south Wales’ greatest mountain on the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
A helicopter from the National Police Air Service recorded the scene at the top as individuals waited patiently to have their image taken along with the Pen Y Fan indication.
The clear day permitted the helicopter team to record the scene of climbers at the top of the mountain and those making their method up.
The National Police Air Service post read: ‘Our route back from a job took us over Pen Y Fan this afternoon…….. pretty busy up there and lovely day for it!’
One of the most popular locations in Wales over the Easter bank vacation, Good Friday and Easter Saturday saw numerous individuals queuing for approximately thirty minutes to have their image taken at the top, while cars and trucks lined both sides of the A470 as climbers headed to the Brecon Beacons taking advantage of the sunlight.

It was similarly as hectic in Eyri National Park in north Wales, where almost 40 cars parked “dangerously” were hauled away by authorities.
North Wales Police said 29 cars parked precariously on narrow mountain roadways near Llyn Ogwen and 9 in Pen y Pass at the bottom of Yr Wyddfa were removed on Good Friday.
It said drivers were running the risk of lives through “irresponsible and dangerous” parking in areas where emergency situation cars might be obstructed from surviving.
Parking in the National Park will continue to be kept an eye on over the Easter weekend and any cars discovered to be parked on the clearway, double yellows or triggering a blockage will be gotten rid of at the owner’s expense, North Wales Police said.
It included: “Whilst we value individuals are going to Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park to delight in the weather condition and sensational surroundings this bank vacation weekend, we are prompting drivers to be accountable and consider where they park and to make complete usage of the park and trip centers that are available.
“We continue to work closely with our colleagues at Gwynedd Council and the Eryri National Park to help reduce the risk to walkers, cyclists and other road users.”
