Sightings have actually been reported in the midlands of a bird that was, up till just recently, believed to be extinct in Ireland.

A set of Common Cranes have actually been seen around Offaly, with another sighting in Tipperary. 

For the 2nd year in a row it have actually been validated that the Common Crane chick has actually fledged in Ireland, following a 300 year lack.
