Adam Spruce, a nature photographer, captured an image of the chicken whereas walking in St Benet’s Abbey, close to Horning, on Wednesday.
Further analysis revealed it to be an Eastern Rosella parrot which is native to southeastern Australia.

The parrot has a vivid, multi-coloured plumage with a completely purple breast and blue tail wings.
Eastern Rosella’s will not be identified emigrate main specialists to consider it has escaped captivity from a close-by home or business.
Carl Chapman, a boss for the Norfolk and Norwich Naturalists’ Society, mentioned: “It is an escaped cage chicken.

Several studies of untamed Rosellas have been recorded within the UK previously 10 years, notably in Leicestershire and Rutland the place they’ve been seen consuming from chicken feeders.
