Andrea Arnold is about to take her new movie, Bird, to the European Film Market in Berlin subsequent month, as she begins the launching course of.
As of but, the plot for the movie, which stars Barry Keoghan and Franz Rogowski, is firmly underneath wraps. Bird has already been snapped up by Cornerstone Films, who’ve made the choice to unveil the manufacturing within the German metropolis on the European Film Market, which coincides with the Berlin Film Festival and takes place from February fifteenth to twenty first.
Bird was shot final summer season in Kent, United Kingdom, in response to Variety. During filming, Keoghan was pictured by the press whereas driving a scooter as a heavily-tattooed character with an unknown younger actor.
The film marks Arnold’s first conventional movie since 2016’s American Honey, which starred Sasha Lane, Shia LaBeouf and Riley Keough. The director’s final undertaking was the 2021 documentary Cow, which captured the lifetime of a cow known as Luma on a dairy farm in Kent.
Due to scheduling conflicts, Keoghan selected to prioritise engaged on Bird with Arnold over Gladiator 2 after being lined-up to play Emperor Geta within the Ridley Scott blockbuster. The function has since been stuffed by The White Lotus star Fred Hechinger.
Keoghan was just lately nominated for a Bafta within the ‘Best Lead Actor’ class for his efficiency in Emerald Fennell’s Saltburn. Keoghan’s Oliver is very much aware of this, too, and doggedly attempts to remain amongst the elite ala The Talented Mr. Ripley, playing a sneaky, unhinged maniac who has as much fun as possible whilst trying to dismantle the system.”
