Are you all set for great deals of sugar? We sure were when we went into Amorette’s Patisserie to get the 2 Flavors of Florida treats: the Orange Bird Dome Cake and the Orange Cream Puff.

Before we take a look at the huge boy, the Orange Bird, let’s inform you about the cream puff. It’s terrific.

Shaped like a Florida orange and sporting a straw, this pastry is a charm. The flakey orange craquelin conceals a heaping assisting of orange custard inside. Also surprise inside the cream puff is a little layer of honey orange gel, plugging the hole where the custard was pipped.

I recommend consuming this one right away at Amorette’s since the puff loses its texture when cooled at home.

Although the green leaves are edible, the straw is not. That seems like a missed out on chance, however it is what it is.

Next is the big and in charge Orange Bird Dome Cake. He’s a huge boy. A huge, huge boy. A $65 boy.

I was shocked at the size of this cake, thinking about that the majority of the other treats discovered throughout the Flavors of Florida occasion are compact and produced consuming on the go. You’ll most likely wish to take this home or to your hotel room right away.

This sugary confection consists of “layers of vanilla chiffon, Grand Marnier simple syrup, mandarin pâte de fruit, white chocolate crisp pearls, and mandarin orange cream.”

This thing is filled with orange and citrus tang. As we explained in the Orange Bird Nest evaluation, often nailing the Florida orange taste can be struck or miss out on. It’s all struck here.

The crispy pearls are a welcome addition to separate the spongy cake texture. However, I want the pâte layer was a little less thick. This might have been an issue coming from us cooling the Orange Bird Dome Cake for a couple of hours after returning home.

The greatest gripe we have about this thing is the rate. The cake is $65. It’s difficult to validate purchasing this thing if you’re not a regional and belong to keep it cool while you’re in Orlando. There’s no chance you’ll sit and consume this thing inside Amorette’s Patisserie unless you have help from 5 or 6 other individuals.
