Over 140 felines and canines landed at the Westchester County Airport from Puerto Rico on Sunday to get brand-new “fur-ever” houses ahead of Christmas.
Family pet transportation charity Wings of Rescue flew the deserted and homeless animals from The Sato Task in Puerto Rico.
All the animals were saved from the streets and beaches of Puerto Rico or pulled from the Island’s overcrowded local shelters.
Now that they’re here in the Hudson Valley, the next action is to get their needed vaccines and be made sterile or sterilized prior to getting positioned into their brand-new houses.
