Does Maine Have Jellyfish?

I matured in Southern Maine however I never ever thought of having jellies in our waters. I constantly thought about Maine a safe house far from natural catastrophes, toxic types, and other difficult things that simply seemed like they need to be somewhere else, not here. Ignorance, actually.

When I initially realised that Maine even had any jellyfish at all, I was walking on the beach and saw a blob in the sand which was my excellent awakening. But it was a small little thing and looked safe, so although I was shocked, I didn’t let it destroy my day.
I’ve seen posts because that day revealing unbelievable jellyfish that have actually been found in Maine. I am discussing jellyfish that are so outrageous looking, I believed they were phony.

Just to make my worry even worse, a Mainer posted on Facebook just recently revealing a big lion’s hair jelly that cleaned up on coast in Blue Hill, Maine, on March 25, 2023.

These bad kids are the biggest jellyfish worldwide and their 1,200 stinging arms can grow more than 100 feet, longer than a blue whale.
