During the pandemic, 4.7m households have acquired a new pet, The Guardian reported. Because of this, there is a much higher demand for pet emergency services.
Animals at Home is a company that offers professional transport for your pet in vehicles approved by DEFRA. These vehicles can transport pets to emergency veterinary care and more. The workers are trained to give first aid to animals and are given an intensive two-day course at a veterinary training hospital.
Animals at Home is able to be there to help handle a pet at the vet. They can also be there at the end of life and help with local pet crematoriums. Routine pet transport with Animals at Home costs about £30 an hour.
“It’s the turning up in uniform. It’s having the animal ambulance available for any circumstance. Everything is fit for purpose, as opposed to an ad hoc standalone person that’s doing a few jobs,” Ann Luffman, a co-managing director of the company, said.
The company has franchises nationwide, and these pet services are becoming more and more popular. Animal Ambulance of Southern California has been in operation since 1999 and offers emergency transportation and in-home pet euthanasia.
AmbuVet Pet Ambulance is one of the largest pet transport services in New York City and was founded in the aftermath of September 11, 2001.
If you have a pet, it’s a good idea to get an idea of the pet services you have available to you in your area.
