Okayimberley Greaves, 46, ended up in £50,000 of debt after her husband, Andrew, died. When Andrew was identified with most cancers in 2017 the couple bought a payout of £100,000 from a life insurance coverage coverage that included essential sickness cowl. It meant that when he died in March 2021 Kimberley was mortgage-free. A month later she took on two mortgages to push forward with a home transfer.
“After he died I was on autopilot. I organised his funeral and our house move at the same time. I wanted to continue life as we had planned it. I had not considered the worst would happen. We had been planning the house move because it was something he could look forward to,” mentioned Kimberley, a former council employee
