TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida House committee favored a invoice Thursday creating extra environment friendly rules for pet insurance coverage markets to profit shoppers.
Rep. Kaylee Tuck, R-Lake Placid, filed HB 1465.
“HB 1465 creates an efficient, effective regulatory framework for pet insurance that benefits consumers, empowers regulators, and ensures the marketplace operates fairly,” Tuck mentioned to the committee. “The bill incorporates a uniform and workable regulatory regime for pet insurance products that was a two and a half year collaboration of national leaders in the industry.”
The Florida House Commerce Committee permitted the measure unanimously 16-0.
Sen. Nick DiCegile, R-St. Petersburg, filed an an identical invoice to HB 1465.
The proposal will take impact if absolutely handed on Jan. 1, 2025.
