Interest rate walkings are beginning to bite in WA, with well-being firms now seeing more in-trouble house owners.
Anglicare WA employer Mark Glasson said the variety of individuals who might not manage their real estate loan payments was on the increase.
“We’re continuing to see an increase in employed people seeking help — emergency relief and food support and financial counselling,” Mr Glasson informed The Sunday Times.
“Our financial counsellors tell us they’re seeing more mortgage holders unable to afford their repayments in addition to the rising cost of living.”
As revealed by The Sunday Times in February, shocking Reserve Bank of Australia figures reveal majority of West Australians on fixed-rate home loans will be paying countless dollars in additional home mortgage payments by the end of this year as they are required on to variable rate payments.
