A dog is a male’s friend, however would you build a whole home with Versace wallpaper for your four-legged friend?
This home at 1104 North Road, Bentleigh East, in Victoria was constructed with the function of offering more space for one lucky puppy. And now it might be yours for around $2 million.
Ray White noting representatives Tom Grieve and Jin Ling boast that the home is “unrivalled in its entertaining supremacy”.
“Centred around the scintillating, fully tiled internal swimming pool (outdoor heaters) with a surrounding enclave of spectacular picture windows providing stellar sights, this dual-living sensation sectors impeccably with kitchens and extensive indoor/outdoor entertaining zones upon each level,” the listing says.
Current owner Helen Vu said she constructed the home after she invited her German Shepherd puppy Jimmy into her life.
“We built the house because of Jimmy,” Vu informed the Herald Sun.
“The house belonged to him, he had his own spot on the couch and if you came and sat on his spot, he’d sit very close to you and you would have to move.”
The home features an outside dog shower and even a whole bed room, suited Versace, simply for Jimmy.
“Jimmy was a Versace boy. All his blankets and towels, everything, was Versace,” Vu said.
While the home was developed with Jimmy in mind, it’s no dog house for human beings. Featuring 7 bed rooms and 8 restrooms, there is ample space for the whole family.
The home twists around an internal pool and the open-plan living and dining location links to an attractive Calacatta marble kitchen area.
Upstairs includes another living and dining location with adjacent kitchen area, a paved balcony and a north-facing front veranda.
With a different entryway, the whole leading flooring might even be rented out individually or would be best for teens seeking their own space.
