Cantilever Rights and Carrot Productions happily present the opening night of the animated function movie, The Amazing Maurice, with ball game carried out live by a complete 40-piece orchestra. Staged in the greatness of Alexandra Palace Theatre, the Sky Original movie – based upon Terry Pratchett’s book, The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents – is an unmissable and distinct occasion. This animated family movie follows Maurice, a streetwise ginger cat who creates a money-making rip-off by befriending a group of self-taught talking rats. When Maurice and the rodents reach the stricken town of Bad Blintz, they satisfy a book lover called Malicia and their little con quickly decreases the drain. It stars Hugh Laurie (Avenue 5) as Maurice, Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones) as Malicia, David Thewlis (Wonder Woman) as Boss Man, Himesh Patel (Yesterday) as Keith, Gemma Arterton (The King’s Man) as Peaches, Hugh Bonneville (Downton Abbey) as The Mayor, David Tennant (Doctor Who) as Dangerous Beans, Ariyon Bakare (His Dark Materials) as Darktan, Rob Brydon (Roald & Beatrix: The Tale of the Curious Mouse) as The Pied Piper, Julie Atherton (Avenue Q) as Nourishing and YouBulb Joe Sugg as Sardines.
There will be 2 efficiencies on Sunday 9th April 2023, one at 11am in help of Cats Protection, the UK’s biggest feline well-being charity, and a 2nd one at 2.30pm, which will include Gabrielle Aplin singing live together with the orchestra, carrying out tunes she composed for the movie.
