An animal charity within the west has assisted and recommended enhancements are made after two swans flew into energy strains and one in all them was killed.
Gardaí contacted the Roscommon SPCA CLG after the swans hit energy strains in Portnahinch, Kilteevan.
One of the swans was killed and one other is presently recovering from accidents sustained throughout the incident however is predicted to get well.
Roscommon SPCA CLG will now contact ESB networks about enhancing the visibility for for flying birds and counsel including one thing to the electrical energy strains.
In a social media publish the charity thanked Kildare Wild Life, Kildare Wildlife Rescue and Claddagh Swan Rescue for his or her useful recommendation.
“Also thank you Nicky for checking things out for us,” they said.
“Swan is doing okay. Has a cut near his beak but no broken wings and is now back on a stretch of water.”
Roscommon SPCA CLG stated they may “email ESB networks to ask them if they can put some of those round things on the line so the swans can see where the lines are”.
