Scott Clifton (“The Bold and the Beautiful”) has actually been a supporter of family pet adoption for numerous years, going back to when he fulfilled Bob Barker, the previous host of “The Price is Right.” In event of his look on the Wednesday, April 26 episode of the daytime video game program, Clifton reminisces on just how much of an effect Barker made on his life and his enthusiasm for animals.
In 2014, “The Bold and the Beautiful” included a story where Liam Spencer (Clifton) saves a cat that he provided to his then-girlfriend, now spouse, Hope Logan (played by Kim Matula at the time; now played by Annika Noelle). The story integrated Liam and Hope checking out the South Los Angeles Animal Service Center with episodes including Barker together with Brandon McMillan, the then host of CBS’ “Lucky Dog.”

“We’ve [previously] had the chance to work with celebrities and people who are well known in the public eye before on the show, and it’s always fun and usually they play themselves and we try to make them feel comfortable and we cater to them and a lot of the consciousness for us is like, ‘Are they going to be cool? Are they used to working with actors?’” Clifton said in the interview with Soap Opera Network at the time. “All of that headed out the window when I fulfilled Bob. I can’t inform you what an excellent human being he is. He was so honorable. He began, it wasn’t about self-publicity or anything like that; he actually simply wished to press this concern and spread awareness on this as much as he could.
Now, years later on, Clifton informs us, “Bob Barker was one of the most impressive people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting during my tenure at ‘Bold & Beautiful.’” He included, “I remember listening to him speak extemporaneously, in the makeup chair, about pet adoption, fostering, spaying and neutering, and his broader philosophy of animal ethics. It was provocative and inspiring, and made me hope for the chance to help further his noble project, even in the smallest way.”

As for his latest look on “The Price is Right,” Clifton didn’t be reluctant when asked to take part in among the themed episodes. “When ‘Price’ asked me to join them for Adoption Week, I remembered that day in the chair and jumped at the opportunity. My conversations with Drew [Carey, current host of ‘The Price is Right’] and the wonderful crew were proof that Mr. Barker’s passion for kindness has never departed that soundstage.”
