TEWKSBURY, MA — Ashley Chmiel, a Billerica and Tewksbury Animal Management Officer (ACO), has been named the Animal Management Officer of the 12 months by two outstanding Massachusetts animal organizations.

Chmiel was introduced with the award at a banquet final Friday hosted by the Animal Management Officers Affiliation of Massachusetts.

The ACO of the 12 months award was established by the Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (MSPCA) and the Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) to honor an animal management officer whose efforts of their area people have promoted accountable pet possession.
