A young person was rushed to hospital after an incident at a home in Newton Mearns.
999 crews swarmed the residential space in East Renfrewshire round midnight on Sunday following reviews of a break-in.
An injured 16-year-old boy was found inside.
He was taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The situation of {the teenager} is unknown.
Terrified residents claimed to have noticed over a dozen police automobiles on the scene along with ambulances.
Meanwhile, a 42-year-old man was arrested and charged in reference to the alleged possession of an offensive weapon.
The Glasgow Times understands that {the teenager} was not a resident of the home.
The drive has launched a probe into the incident however revealed they’re treating it as a priority for a person case.
A Police Scotland spokesperson stated: “Around 12.10am on Sunday, 29 October, police were called to a report of a break-in to a house in Newton Mearns.
“Officers attended and a 16-year-old man was found injured and taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow.
“No-one from within the house was injured. Enquiries are continuing and this is being treated as a concern for person incident.
“A 42-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with possession of an offensive weapon. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
