Video of a former shelter canine identified to be “fearful of males” embracing her proprietor’s dad has gone viral on TikTok.

The video was posted by Candice Yates (@onthecanwithcandice) and has had over 960,000 views because it was first shared on December 26, 2023.

A message overlaid on the clip, which was captured in Russell County in southwest Virginia, mentioned: “When the shelter advised me she was fearful of males, I questioned how she would deal with visiting my dad and mom.”
